Exeter University’s philosopher Prof. Christine Hauskeller and the medical humanities scholar and physician Prof. Hakan Ertin at Istanbul University began this interdisciplinary collaboration in ethics and philosophy of medicine. The wider core team from the Universities of Exeter and at the Beşikçizade Center for Medical Humanities (BETIM) includes the ethicist Dr. Tayyibe Bardakçi, the cultural anthropologist Dr. Geoffrey Hughes, and the political scientist Dr. Inanç Özekmekçi.
