N.B Students who then transition from year 0 into year 1 of their course are also covered by the accommodation guarantee and can reapply for accommodation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>an unaccompanied* undergraduate or postgraduate study abroad or exchange student studying for the full academic year starting in September.\u202f&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>an unaccompanied* international postgraduate student with a firm offer to study,&nbsp;entering into&nbsp;year 1 as a full-time student for the full academic year starting in September.\u202f&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>*Unaccompanied relates to the student only and not those who wish to live with a partner and\/or children.\u202f&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If&nbsp;you\u2019re&nbsp;still not sure if you meet the criteria or if you need other information,\u202f<a href=\"https:\/\/www.exeter.ac.uk\/study\/accommodation\/applyingandpaying\/#guarantee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">take a look at our Accommodation website &gt;<\/a>\u202f&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Your accommodation offer<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Something to keep in mind is that we&nbsp;can\u2019t&nbsp;guarantee&nbsp;you\u2019ll&nbsp;be offered one of your four preferences from your application because of the number of applications we receive for each residence. You could be offered a room in a residence you&nbsp;haven\u2019t&nbsp;considered, but we will use all the information in your application as a guide,&nbsp;to give you the most&nbsp;appropriate room.\u202f\u202f&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s\u00a0also possible that due to the number of applications, you may be offered accommodation with one of our approved partners in the city.\u202fYou can find details of all living options on the\u202f<a href=\"https:\/\/www.exeter.ac.uk\/study\/accommodation\/room-finder\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">online Room Finder &gt;<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Applying after the guarantee deadline or applying when you don&#8217;t meet the guarantee criteria<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>We still welcome applications for our accommodation after the&nbsp;guarantee&nbsp;deadline or if you&nbsp;don\u2019t&nbsp;meet the&nbsp;guarantee&nbsp;criteria. However, you&nbsp;won\u2019t&nbsp;be able to specify your 4 preferred residences in your application, but you&nbsp;<em>can<\/em>&nbsp;indicate&nbsp;whether&nbsp;you\u2019d&nbsp;prefer catered or self-catered, the room type and contract length.\u202f\u202fBelow are some useful links to help with those decisions:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.exeter.ac.uk\/study\/accommodation\/how-to-apply\/cateredorself-catered\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Catered or Self-catered accommodation<\/a>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.exeter.ac.uk\/study\/accommodation\/how-to-apply\/roomtypesandlocation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Room types and location<\/a>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.exeter.ac.uk\/study\/accommodation\/how-to-apply\/contractlengthandprice\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Contract lengths and prices<\/a>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are applying outside of our accommodation&nbsp;guarantee&nbsp;then we will keep you updated about whether we are likely to be able to make you an offer of accommodation or not.&nbsp;You can also find more information about applying outside of the&nbsp;guarantee&nbsp;deadline\u202f<a href=\"https:\/\/www.exeter.ac.uk\/study\/accommodation\/applyingandpaying\/#after-guarantee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">on our website &gt;<\/a>\u202f&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you have accepted your offer of&nbsp;University&nbsp;accommodation,&nbsp;you\u2019ll&nbsp;need to complete the online Student Welcome&nbsp;\u2013&nbsp;you\u2019ll&nbsp;receive&nbsp;an email invite&nbsp;with a link&nbsp;from late-July.
