Good morning everyone!
\nWe hope that you all enjoyed the beautiful weather last week and it\u2019ll soon be the Easter Holidays! Applications open on Monday so we thought that we\u2019d go through a few things to consider beforehand.<\/p>\n

Activating an accommodation account<\/strong><\/p>\n

Before you can apply for accommodation, you need to activate an accommodation account, you can do this now prior to applications opening on the 4th<\/sup> April.<\/p>\n

Please ensure you have your nine digit student ID number ready. This is likely to start with a \u201971\u2019 or \u201972\u2019. It is also known as a \u2018University of Exeter Reference Number\u2019 and will be found on any University correspondence.<\/p>\n

Our\u00a0\u2018how to apply\u2019\u00a0<\/a>webpage should provide you with useful information on how to activate an accommodation account and how to submit your application. If you are struggling to log in please check the following things:<\/p>\n

Your offer:\u00a0<\/strong>You will need to have accepted a firm offer to be able to apply for accommodation. If Exeter is your insurance choice then you won\u2019t be able to apply until August once you have changed Exeter to your firm. Please note you may need to wait a couple of days after accepting for this to be updated on our systems.<\/p>\n

Student number:<\/strong>\u00a0 This is\u00a0not<\/u>\u00a0your UCAS number, Exeter student numbers should appear on any correspondence and will be 9 digits long (it should begin with a 6 or 7 depending on when you applied for accommodation)<\/p>\n

D.O.B:\u00a0<\/strong>Ensure that you are entering your date of birth in the format DD\/MM\/YYYY<\/p>\n

Name:\u00a0<\/strong>It sounds silly but more often than not, students aren\u2019t able to apply because they have written their name incorrectly! The name will have to match our records exactly so any double-barreled surnames can be a bit tricky! If you\u2019re having problems with this then please get in contact so that we can get this sorted.<\/p>\n

Password: <\/strong>Your password will need to be 8 digits long and with at least one uppercase letter and at least one number<\/p>\n

I haven\u2019t received my validation code yet?<\/strong>
\nDue to the high volumes of traffic our Accommodation system, there can be a delay for your validation code being sent through. To find this email please check your Junk\/SPAM folder. If after a couple of hours, this has still not been received, please\u00a0contact us<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Changes to Webpages<\/strong><\/p>\n

We\u2019ve made a number of changes to our webpages so please do take a look before you apply as information may have changed. Our most significant change is our new contract dates for our medical students. If you’re studying on BMBS\u00a0<\/strong>you should take a look at our dedicated webpage<\/a> for information on residences for you.<\/p>\n
