Spring is officially here and that also means that applications for our accommodation will be open soon \u2013 from 9:00am on<\/strong> Monday 3 April<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

So you may have already done a bit of research or perhaps you\u2019re just starting your journey in deciding what type of accommodation you might want to live in during your time at university.<\/p>\n

When you\u2019re ready, there are a few things you\u2019ll need before you can make an application to live in University accommodation:<\/p>\n

Activate an accommodation account<\/strong><\/p>\n

Before you can apply for accommodation, you\u2019ll need to activate an accommodation account and you can do this before applications opening on 3 April if you wish.<\/p>\n

Our\u00a0\u2018how to apply\u2019\u00a0<\/a>webpage provides you with useful information on how to activate an accommodation account and how to submit your application. If you are struggling to login, please check the following things:<\/p>\n

Your offer\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

You will need to have accepted a Firm offer to be able to apply for accommodation. If Exeter is your Insurance choice, you won\u2019t be able to apply until August, once you have changed Exeter to your Firm. Please note you may need to wait a couple of days after accepting for this to be updated on our systems. If you will be starting a postgraduate course, then you will also need to have paid your tuition fee deposit and for this to have been received and processed by the university.<\/p>\n

Student number\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

This is\u00a0not <\/strong>your UCAS number, but a 9 digit reference number beginning with a 72 or 73 (depending on when you applied for your course) and it should appear on any University of Exeter admissions or offer correspondence.<\/p>\n

Date of Birth\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Make sure you enter your date of birth in the format DD\/MM\/YYYY.<\/p>\n

Name\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

It might sound silly but more often than not, students aren\u2019t able to apply because they’ve written their name incorrectly! The name will have to match our records exactly<\/strong> so any double-barrelled surnames can be a bit tricky, and don’t use any nicknames! If you\u2019re having problems with this, please get in contact<\/a> so that we can get this sorted.<\/p>\n

Password\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Your password will need to be 8 digits long and with at least one uppercase letter and at least one number.<\/p>\n

I haven\u2019t received my validation code yet<\/strong>
\nYou will need this in order to complete the account creation process. Due to the high volumes of traffic our Accommodation system, there can sometimes be a delay for your validation code being sent through. To find this email, please check your Junk\/Spam folder. If after a couple of hours, this has still not been received, please contact us<\/a>.<\/p>\n
