Mariah Carey, Shakin\u2019 Stevens and Wham! are back in the charts, which can only mean one thing: it\u2019s Christmas time (mistletoe and wine). If you feel like getting festive, here\u2019s a list of Christmas-related events you can get involved in.<\/p>\n

Christmas Day Lunch at Lopes Hall<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you\u2019re staying in Exeter over Christmas and find yourself home alone, come to Lopes Hall at 12.30pm for a 2-course Christmas lunch. Expect mulled wine (or a non-alcoholic beverage), Christmas crackers, a mystery Christmas present and much more.<\/p>\n

With the option to have a meat, vegetarian or gluten-free meal, there\u2019s delicious food for everyone.<\/p>\n

Give It A Go<\/strong><\/p>\n

Get into the holiday spirit with the Student Guild\u2019s Christmas-themed Give It A Go events. From making your own Christmas gifts to their festive Big Night In with board games, hot chocolate, and Christmas films, these events are a great opportunity to get creative and socialise with people outside of your course and accommodation.<\/p>\n

Robin Hood at Northcott Theatre<\/strong><\/p>\n

Exeter Northcott and Le Navet Bete have teamed up to deliver a hilarious, family-friendly pantomime that centres around Robin Hood and his attempt to thwart the Sheriff of Nottingham from stealing the royal crown.<\/p>\n

On from Friday 9 December to Saturday 7 January 2023, the Theatre will also have more inclusive shows on specific dates, including a British Sign Language (BSL) interpreted performance and Audio Described (AD) show.<\/p>\n

Carols with Exeter Philharmonic Choir<\/strong><\/p>\n

Exeter Philharmonic Choir and internationally renowned soprano Amy Carson are performing in Exeter Cathedral<\/a> on 13 and 14 December. Enjoy a mix of traditional carols, popular tunes, and jazzy versions. If you know the words, they\u2019d love for you to sing along as well.<\/p>\n

Christmas Market<\/strong><\/p>\n

Last but not least, the Christmas Market<\/a> on the Cathedral Green is back! Explore over 100 independent stalls selling a range of artisanal gifts, West Country produce and global street food.
