Rent is around \u00a3153 a week, which is pretty decent for the area and location. You\u2019re only about 10 minutes from campus – it\u2019s an easy walk that\u2019s mostly pedestrianised, and there\u2019s even a cycle track at the end of Hoopern Street that heads straight to campus. It\u2019s a good spot if you want a quick commute without needing a bus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you end up on streets like Danes Road, Hoopern Street, Howell Road, or King Stephen Close, there\u2019s a Premier corner shop nearby. It\u2019s really handy if you ever need quick supplies, especially after hours when bigger shops are closed. For main grocery runs, the High Street is around a 10-minute walk away, with stores like John Lewis and plenty of food shops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For pubs, The Firehouse and Black Horse are only about 10 minutes away on foot, so you\u2019ll have some good options close by for a night out with friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Exeter Central Station is also nearby – around a 5-minute walk from Hoopern Street. That\u2019s great for weekend trips or if you ever need to travel beyond Exeter. Buses aren\u2019t really needed for getting to campus or town since it\u2019s all close, which is a bonus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hoopern Valley is a nice green space nearby if you like having somewhere to walk or relax. There\u2019s also a small playpark at the end of the Horse Guards neighbourhood, which is good for a chill afternoon or a picnic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hoopern Street itself is about half locals, half students, so it\u2019s generally pretty quiet – maybe not the best if you\u2019re planning to have loud socials or house parties! If that\u2019s more your vibe, Danes Road is wider and more student-dense, so it\u2019s a bit better for louder gatherings without feeling cramped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
