No, not the Grand National, that’s been and gone! (Check out my mad drawing skills though; that is one fine horse…)
I’m talking about our applications for this September – they opened yesterday, and we’ve already received loads! Now, don’t go panicking if you haven’t applied yet, we don’t process applications in date order*, so you’ve got loads of time to think about where you want to live.
If you’ve applied and want to know when you’ll hear from us with an offer, here’s a quick guide:
- Postgraduate students: we’ll start processing your applications in late April, and will send offers from the end of April/beginning of May onward;
- New undergraduates with unconditional offers: try to get your application in by the end of June – we’ll begin processing and sending offers at the beginning of July;
- New undergraduates with conditional offers: we’ll send you an offer as and when your exam results are confirmed and we know you’re definitely going to join us in September. This doesn’t mean that students with unconditional offers get all the ‘best’ rooms – we fill our residences proportionately between conditional and unconditional students;
- Student couples and families: please apply by the end of June – we get loads of applications for these accommodations and try to send out offers from July onward after processing according to these criteria.
Remember: if you haven’t made Exeter your first choice on UCAS (undergrads), or accepted your offer and paid your tuition fee deposit (postgrads), you won’t be able to apply for accommodation yet.
So, when you’re ready, check out our website (which is packed full of information), set up your accommodation account, and send us your application (ideally by 31 July)!
