Okay, I am.
Ahem, so, I’m reasonably sure that most of you know that A Level results are published tomorrow, eek!
This means that we’re going to be mega busy, processing your applications and making sure you all have somewhere to live in September.
Since so many of you are getting results and confirming your places at Exeter (we’re talking thousands. Actual thousands) we’ll be sending out offers of accommodation in batches from Monday 19 August onward. Please don’t panic if you don’t hear from us immediately!
This week, our team doubles in size with extra staff coming in to help with the allocations (all done by hand. That’s a lot of pencils.), and we set up a communications centre (with me at the helm, do get in touch) to take all of your calls and emails, leaving the allocator-alligators (just made that up. I like it. I’ve drawn it) in peace.
It’s a lot of work, and to help us power through the next four weeks of offers, arrivals, inductions, enquiries, etc. we’ll all be fueled by caffeine and cake. So much cake, in fact, that we’ll be running a cake competition – a Caketition! – with a new baked good every day (apart from Friday, when we’ll catch up on vitamins and eat fruit. Or at least fruit-flavoured sweets).
From Monday, we’ll be updating this blog daily to let you know which offers are going out, how to get in touch with us if you have any questions and, most importantly, to update you on each day’s Caketition 2013 entry.
This is serious stuff, people!
