…Whatever you say, you pay your money, you take your choice, whatever you need, whatever you use, whatever you win, whatever you lose! For lent, I very nearly decided to give up ‘cheesy song titles for blog titles’ but I honestly think that chocolate is a far easier option (and I love chocolate)! Finding a cheesy blog title has become one of my favourite things to do and I felt that this particular song was very apt and linked to the application for accommodation process.

So what would you like? If you’re thinking of joining us in 2014/15 but have been unable to visit any of our accommodation yet then make sure you feast your eyes upon our new 360° virtual tours. They will be useful when making your application for accommodation.

We offer student accommodation to both new and returning students from the UK or abroad, undergraduate or postgraduate. Applications open on Monday 14 April 2014 so mark that date in your diaries and in order to be guaranteed accommodation you will need to have the University of Exeter as your first/firm choice and apply before 31 July 2014. Please read our accommodation guarantee for further details.

Are you a student who has deferred your firm place at the University of Exeter and are looking to arrive with us in 2014/15? If you are, then you can apply from Monday 14 April 2014 and ideally we would need your applications in by the end of May because we will start allocating rooms for deferred students in June and you will be notified accordingly. Luckily for you, your results are already in and you know that you’re coming here. This means that no sleepless nights or moments of nail-biting panic are in order.

Please note, just because a student has deferred their entry and might be notified of their allocation sooner, it does not mean that they are instantly guaranteed their first choice of accommodation.

Are you looking at finding a place to stay, on campus for the Easter vacation (29 March – 27 April 2014)? We have some Cook Mews standard rooms or King Edward Studio’s available. Please contact us or visit us in The Forum at one of our drop-in sessions (Mon, Tue, Thur and Fri) between 11am-3pm to find out more information.

Some of you may or may not be aware but tomorrow (Thursday 6 March) is International Women’s Day and the Students’ Guild are holding a day of celebrations to coincide with this year’s theme of ‘inspiring change’.
