…another day, another destiny. Today’s post is our last reminder that if you fall within our accommodation guarantee you need to put in your application by the end of the day tomorrow (31st July). If we receive your application after this date, you won’t be guaranteed an offer of accommodation (although we’ll do our best to help); your application options will be more limited; and we won’t process your application until after we have processed guaranteed applications. So, get applying!
Now for an update on accommodation offers. If you’re a postgraduate student who applied for accommodation since mid-July, we’ll be processing your application and letting you know the results in the next couple of weeks. We know from experience that many students apply just prior to the deadline so it’ll take us some time to process applications and send out offers, but don’t worry; as long as you apply within the guarantee you will receive an offer.
If you’re an undergraduate with an unconditional offer you should receive details of your accommodation offer no later than next Friday – if you haven’t heard from us by then, please do contact us.
For those of you who have secured your room, we’ll be sending you an email in the next week with details of how to book your arrival time and also a link to our accommodation induction so you can start your preparations for coming in September.
If you’re awaiting A-Levels your application will be processed after results are released. Bear in mind that you probably won’t hear about your accommodation offer immediately when your results are confirmed! We’ll send out accommodation offers in batches over a couple of weeks, so it’s normal not to hear from us straight away. We’ll be blogging daily from A-Level results day onwards, so check back regularly to stay up-to-date – and let us know if there’s any information you feel we should include.
Finally, just to whet your appetite for September, we thought you’d like to know that campus is looking particularly lovely at the moment – here are a few snaps from my lunchtime walk around Duryard…
