…if it’s the last thing we ever do. If you are a new starter joining us in September, you are probably pacing around your home beginning to get far too excited about your forthcoming University of Exeter adventure. The blog title this week sums up what I imagine you all to be singing right up until you arrive on our doorstep with your suitcases ready to make your new room your home for the next year.

Now that we have hit the beginning of August (I still can’t believe it’s here, it only seems like yesterday I was welcoming students back from the Easter vacation) and if you have been keeping a close eye on our website then you will know that you can book your arrival slot with us ready for Arrivals Weekend.

This year our Arrivals Weekend falls on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th September 2014, although if you have a confirmed place for Lafrowda, Rowe House, St German’s and Birks Grange Village self-catered accommodation, you will also be able chose to book an arrival slot for Friday 12 September 2014. Our welcome activities will be available from this date and continuing over the weekend. For full details of Freshers events which will be taking place over Arrivals Weekend, please visit the Students’ Guild website.

In order to book an arrival slot, you will need to have a confirmed your accommodation (i.e accepted a contract and paid the £300.00 deposit). If you already confirmed your accommodation, you will have received an email from us within the last week advising you to book your arrival slot online and to complete your online induction. Please note that these times are subject to availablity and are done on a first come, first served basis. So make you get this sorted in order to secure your place. If you have yet to receive an offer of accommodation or confirm your offer with us, you will receive an email later in the summer to tell you when you can book your arrival slot online.

If you are unsure about what you need to bring to university, then take a peek at our moving in pages which provides information on what you will need whether you’re staying in self-catered or catered accommodation.

If you have any accommodation related questions then you can contact us via SID and we will be happy to help.

Accommodation Catherine – hope you like the new layout of our blog. We felt that we needed a change.
