…Help me if you can, I’m feeling down and I do appreciate you being ’round. You may be yelling that well known Beatles song because you just need some help with your accommodation. I would like to reassure you all that if you need any help, the Accommodation Office are certainly around to offer support and advice. This week we are open from 8:30am-6:00pm.

We sent emails to some students who applied after the accommodation guarantee to inform them that we were unable to provide them with University of Exeter accommodation due to the vast number of applications which were received this year. These students are advised to look within within the private sector and if they wish they can come along to meet others in a similar situation on Thursday 28 and Friday 29 August between 10am and 2pm. Staff from the Accommodation Office and the The Students’ Guild will also be available.  If you have yet to find accommodation within the private sector, wish to discuss this with us or wish to attend this event, please contact us on 0300 555 0444 to find out more information.

If you have accepted your offer, paid your deposit and have yet to book your time slot for Arrival’s Weekend then you do not have long to wait. We are notifying you from TODAY when you will be able to login to your accommodation account in order to book your arrival time. By Friday of this week, everyone who has confirmed their offer by paying the deposit will be able to book their arrival slot. Please note, it is first come, first served – so best to sort this fairly pronto.

We were spoilt yesterday with not only one but two Baketition entries. The first was a gorgeous ricotta and apricot cake made for us by Ann and that was seriously yummy. Thanks Ann! The second was a gingerbread house made by Jenny with help from her little boy. The standard this year is incredibly high, I am getting really nervous for my entry on Thursday. Feast your eyes upon these creative bakes below (warning, you may salivate).
