All accommodation offers have now been sent out to students, so please ensure that you are checking your email inbox, including your junk/SPAM folder to make sure you do not miss any correspondence from us. All emails which are being sent are going to the same emails that you registered with when creating your accommodation account.

If you paid your accommodation deposit over the weekend (Friday-Sunday), you should now have received a confirmation email from us. Please note that when paying your accommodation deposit of £300.00 it can take up to 48 hours to receive the confirmation email because it takes time to register on our system. For further information on what information to include when making a payment online, please refer to our ‘Monday Monday’ blog post.

We are receiving a few calls from those of you who are on the waiting list and wanting to know when you will hear about your accommodation. We have sent you an update on Monday and it is still unlikely that any university accommodation will become available prior to your arrival. We therefore suggest that you look within the private sector through studentpad and accommodation for students. If you have already found accommodation for all or part of next year, please remember to let us know so we can update our records.

Also, a number of you are querying that your accommodation contract starts on 14 September and concerned that you cannot arrive before this date. Some residences are able to arrive on Friday 12 September and others over the weekend of Saturday 13 – Sunday 14 September. Once you receive your email advising you that you can book an arrival slot (after accepting and paying your deposit), you will see the dates and times available for arrival online.

As I mentioned in yesterday’s blog, the Accommodation Office are available to answer your telephone calls on 0300 555 0444 between 9:00am-5:15pm this week until Friday. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you require any further assistance.

Thank you to Vikki for yesterday’s baketition entry of some very yummy carrot cake with a cinnamon twist – it did not last long.
