5…4…3…2…1…ARRIVALS! Well time is certainly ticking away quickly until you all begin to arrive with us this weekend. We are so excited to welcome all of our fresh faced, new students into our accommodation over Arrivals Weekend.
Please make sure that you have looked in to the following before arriving with us:
- Please read our ‘Get Connected‘ blog post for information on how to register your internet with StudentCom.
- Remember that you get a basic level of content insurance cover provided through us by Endsleigh Insurance but we recommend you confirm what this covers as you may need to take out additional cover for any additional items (musical instruments, sports equipment etc).
- Do you want to bring a TV with you or are you planning on watching live television online? If so, you will firstly need to check with your Residence Reception as to whether there is an aerial point in your room. Secondly, you will need to purchase a TV licence (per room). Please visit the TV Licensing website for more information.
Although our Comms Team officially depart today, please don’t forget that we are still available until Friday between 9:00am-5:15pm on 0300 555 0444 or sid@exeter.ac.uk in order to help with any enquiries that you may have. So please do get in touch.
Today, we are waving goodbye to two more of our colleagues, Benjamin and Vikki who have been helping us out. We wish Benjamin every success with his writing and Vikki lots of luck with the impending arrival of her new baby. Such great additions to our team!
We have had a really enjoyable time this summer answering over 3,700 calls, over 3,000 email and SID enquiries and allocated over 3000 rooms since A-Level results were announced on the 14 August. Well done to both the Comms Team and the Allocating Team for working so hard to answer your enquiries and to put you all in rooms. We wish everyone: Grace, Kerry, Andrew, Benjamin, Natalia, Abigail, Harriet, Jess and Vikki every success with their next role. Thanks all!
