Some of you may have noticed that over the weekend The Forum has been decorated ready for the forthcoming festivities, including a Christmas Tree made out of recylced soft drinks cans. This is something that I have been involved in as part of the Green Impact Excellence Scheme, to promote the importance of recycling and sustainability across the university. If you are interested in finding out more about sustainability then come along to the Student Traders Christmas Craft Market in The Forum on Friday 5 December between 11:00am-3:00pm.

The Christmas Craft Market is not the only festive event taking place this week, there is also:Catered Christmas Dinner

  • Christmas dinner in catered halls – do you fancy some festive food but don’t want to cook it yourself? Why not come along to one of our catered halls on Friday 5 December between 5:15pm-7:30pm and be treated to a Christmas Dinner? Students within self-catered residences are welcome to join in the festivities too are are able to purchase tickets from either Exeter Halls, Holland Hall or Birks Grange Village receptions by Thursday 4 December.
  • Candlelit Carols – The University’s traditional Christmas Carol Service at the Mary Harris Memorial Chapel on Friday 5 December from 7:00pm. This event features Christmas readings, festive choral works performed by the chapel choir and some favourite carols. Mince pie and mulled wine is also available.
