This blog is very much themed around surveys and chances to win prizes, so if you’re one of those people who wants to make a real difference to your university experience, love to recycle or will do anything for a bit of procrastination then read on to find out how you could win some great prizes just for answering a few questions…

Do you want to be in with a chance of winning one of three £50.00 Amazon vouchers? Oh come on, I know you do…think of all those study books you could buy or DVDs or useless gadgets or CDs or STUDY BOOKS!! To be in with a chance of winning,  students who are living within our accommodation would have received an invitation last week to take part in the Living Experience Survey 2015. The survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete and is a great way of getting your feedback in order for us to improve the services and facilities we provide to all students living in University accommodation. Just by taking part you get entered into our prize draw.

UPP will be holding a recycling ‘Survey Day’ Launch Event in Ross House Reception at Birks Grange Village on Tuesday 10 March 2015 from 10am in order to gain feedback on food waste and other recycling services. It would be great to get as much feedback from as many students as possible, so please pop in for 2 minutes on your way to or from campus. There is a chance to win a £25.00 voucher for The Ram Bar, chat to a nutritionist (morning only), try some FREE (my favourite word) brain food, pick up recipes, hints and tips from the Students’ Green Unit, and find out more about the work of the Devon and Cornwall Food Association – so why not pop by and complete the survey for your chance to win and take part. The survey closes on Friday 13 March 2015.

Now here’s the one that may seal the deal…I mean we pretty much all LOVE pizza right? Well you could be in with a chance of winning pizza for your whole block – I know, now I’m talking. 2-6 March is Water Week, however the week after from 9-13 March, if you are living in Lafrowda Blocks A, B, C and D you could be in with a chance of winning all that pizza just by reducing the amount of water you use.  For further information please see the unisave poster and the accompanying save water flyer.

Are you in catered halls? Make sure you keep your eyes peeled for King Asia who will be hosting oriental food pop up dining events within dining halls on 5 March at Holland Hall, 9 March at Birks Grange and 23 March at Lopes Hall. Make sure you’re there if you fancy sampling some of their dishes.

I would like to draw your attention to the 41 inspirational women who have been recognised across the University of Exeter as part of International Women’s Day. This week the focus is on our very own Nicola Baker who is Contracts Accommodation Manager and my joint lead for Green Impact. Well done Nicola on this achievement.

Are you at a loose end of entertainment next week? Why not pop along to see the Exeter University Gilbert & Sullivan Society perform in HMS Pinafore at the Northcott Theatre from Wednesday 11th – Saturday 14 March 2015. There are student discounts – so make sure you book and support your local company.
