Today’s announcement just so happens to coincide with April Fool’s Day but what I am about to tell you is not a joke at all….
This has been a very exciting week in the accommodation office due to the launch of our sparkling new website (insert a fanfare sound here). The new website is hopefully going live today and will be available from 2 April 2015 onwards. We have completely changed our layout in order to make it easier to navigate. Some of the great new features include:
- Specified information– we have broken information down in to student categories to make the information much more specific to your requirements. If you are a prospective student, current student, postgraduate student or an international student, the information that you need has been collated together within a particular area – much easier!
- An interactive accommodation map – showing you where all of our residences are situated and who they are suitable for.
- Residence reception information – a place to find out up to date information about your residence reception, including opening hours and contact information.
- Residences – you will see much more information given on the residences tabs.
We hope that you enjoy exploring the new site. If you have any questions or feedback for us, then please post a comment to the blog or send us an email via: sid@exeter.ac.uk, we really do appreciate your thoughts.
Does your accommodation contract end in June or July but you hope to stay in university accommodation throughout the summer? Have you considered applying for summer accommodation? This is available to registered University of Exeter students between 20 June – 5 September 2015. This year we are able to offer en-suite rooms at James Owen Court at £126.26 per week or Birks Grange Village studios at £151.55 per week. The minimum contract length is four weeks and can be extended until Saturday 5 September 2015 in accordance with availability. Applications open on 5 May 2015 and will be processed on a first come, first serve basis.
Now, I am not going to bombard you all with information this week because you should all be having a well-earned rest and enjoying the Easter break. Therefore, I would like to take the opportunity to wish you all a very Happy Easter. We shall see you next week, same time, same place.
