Moving outI cannot believe how quickly this year is going, we are already half way through 2015 and it is only a week and a half until term ends and we wave goodbye to the 2014/15 academic year. This means that many of your accommodation contracts are coming to and end.

We wave a fond farewell to those of you currently living within our catered halls on Saturday 13 June 2015 and a further goodbye to those of you within our 40 week self-catered residences on Saturday 20 June 2015. Please ensure that you all book a room inspection prior to your departure and read the moving out guide for information on how to leave your room. Keys must be returned to your residence reception by no later than 10:00am on your departure date.

For those of you who have contracts coming to an end but still wish to remain on campus then don’t forget you can apply for summer accommodation which is available between 20 June and 5 September 2015.

It is great that you are all enjoying the university grounds to relax in your spare time but as a gentle reminder, please ensure that you are clearing your litter away once you leave the area. Bin bags are available from your residence reception so if you need one, please make sure you ask. Recycle bins are also available and can be located by looking at our sustainability interactive map.

This weekend, Friday 5 and Saturday 6 June you will probably notice more people wandering around campus because of our Open Day. This is for prospective students hoping to join us in 2016/17, so please be on hand to direct our visitors towards our student ambassadors who will be wearing bright yellow t-shirts and they will be happy to help.

If you are one of the prospective students visiting us, then welcome, we really hope you enjoy your visit. Staff from the Accommodation Office and various residences will be available at St Lukes and within The Forum at our accommodation stand to answer any questions that you may have. We look forward to seeing you there and hope you enjoy your visit.
