It is very quiet on campus this week but we know that this won’t last too long what with the various graduation ceremonies taking place next week. The outside campus may well be quiet but in our office we are certainly being kept busy with your accommodation enquiries. We have been receiving a number of questions about our accommodation guarantee and when this runs out. See below for further information:
Graduation
Next week, the university will become a hub of pride and happiness and all around Campus there will be the click of cameras, the pop of champagne corks and mortar boards flying through the air. If you are graduating, why not see yourselves off in style? Event Exeter are offering special graduation lunches and afternoon tea. Do you have somewhere to stay for your visit? If not, why not consider on campus B&B accommodation which can be provided by Event Exeter. See their website for further information. Accommodation Guarantee Deadline
If you are a prospective first year undergraduate or an International postgraduate student, have a firm course offer with the university an will be arriving with us in September 2015, please remember to submit your accommodation application by Friday 31 July 2015 which is our guarantee deadline. All applications received by this date will be offered a bed space at the University of Exeter.
For undergraduate students, allocations are dealt with once you have an unconditional offer (i.e your academic place has been confirmed) and remember we do not take into consideration the date that you applied, where you are from, the course you are doing or your academic achievement when we make your allocation, but we do look at the information you have told us within your application form.
Our postgraduate accommodation is being allocated as we receive applications. Some of these residences are now full, but we have rooms available for those new students within our guarantee, so please make your application and we will send you an offer for you to consider.
If you apply after this date, you are no longer guaranteed university accommodation and applications will be dealt with on a first come, first serve basis as rooms are available. For information about the accommodation guarantee please see our website or contact the Accommodation Office.
