This week we are looking at more of your frequently asked accommodation questions ready for your arrival in September 2016 which includes information for Erasmus/Exchange students and what meals are served in our catered halls.

Images of accommodation
We have recently updated our Flickr collection with more images of our residences including two of our nominated residences at The Printworks and Northfield. As a reminder for those who have not yet been to visit our accommodation we have virtual tours available which give you an idea of the rooms.

Erasmus/Exchange students
The university is unable to offer university-owned accommodation in 2016/17 to short term Erasmus students*. Students studying on this type of programme will need to find private housing  in and around the city.

We are able to offer accommodation to students who are joining us as part of a Study Abroad and International Exchange programme for a semester. A limited number of James Owen Court en-suite rooms will be available and applications are being dealt with in date order of receipt of your application. Please see our website for further information.

*Please note that we are able to offer accommodation to students who are studying a full year Erasmus programme.

Meals in catered accommodation
Students who are interested in our catered accommodation can see examples of the menus and meals which are provided and can find out further information by visting our ‘about catered halls‘ wepbage.

Sixteen meals per week are included in the weekly price of catered halls and include breakfast and an evening meal Monday-Friday and a continental breakfast, brunch and an evening meal Saturday-Sunday. Mini fridges are provided within catered rooms and students will have access to a utility room to make lunch and snacks.

How to videos
Any students who are activating an accommodation account or submitting an application for accommodation are encouraged to look at our ‘How to’ videos which provide a step by step guide on the process. Please see the below links:

If you are looking at the blog for the first time, then have a look at some of our older posts by visiting our homepage and choosing a specific month to look at. We started writing two blogs per week in January 2016. The post which goes out on a Tuesday at 10:00am is intended for our prospective students and the Thursday blog post is intended for all current students.
