Off-campus or on-campus accommodation
Despite many rumours which we try to quash throughout the year, rumours still get by stating that all of our accommodation is located on campus. This is not the case at all. Our catered accommodation is located on-campus and is within a 15 minute walk to the centre of the Streatham Campus. 75% of our self-catered accommodation is located on campus and 25% is located off campus, with a maximum distance of up to 25 minutes. The approximate walking distances from our self-catered residences to the centre of the Streatham Campus (The Forum) range between 5-30 minutes. What we guarantee
For students who applied within our Accommodation Guarantee and have their academic place confirmed, then offers are continuing to be sent throughout this week, in batches, until Friday. Those who applied within the guarantee will be offered a bed space within our residences. We are unable to guarantee that this will be one of your top preferences or an on-campus room. You are able to track your application to see the state of your application. If it is still showing as ‘submitted’ then please rest assured that if you applied within the guarantee, you will receive an offer by Friday.
Some students may be disappointed by this. Our team consider your application for one of your four preferences, however, if the rooms stated in your preferences have all been allocated , we will look to offer you the next available residence/room type.
We do read every single note and preference within your application and if you have not been given one of your top preferences then please bear in mind that we have chosen your room based on your interests and the people within it. The figures below show which of our residences are the most popular based on applications received up until yesterday:
- 47% of applicants who applied for catered accommodation put Holland Hall as their first choice residence.
- 60% of applicants who applied for self-catered accommodation put Lafrowda/St Germans/Rowe House as their first choice.
