Students are now beginning their search for private accommodation for next year. See below for information on where to look and what support is available.

Private accommodation in the city
Before you begin your search for private accommodation then take a look at the advice and information on our webpage to prepare you for your search for 2017/18. We look at the different private accommodation options available including:

  • Purpose-built private halls of residence
  • Shared houses and flats
  • Properties through private individual landlords
  • Properties through student letting agencies
  • Living with a resident landlord/host family

We also offer advice on the Right to Rent checks which were put in place from 1 February 2016 and provide a useful Housing Terminology document for you to know the typical jargon used.

StudentPad
The Accommodation Office manage StudentPad which is a free, accommodation search portal. Here, you can find private accommodation, including  Afs/Unipol accreditated properties and larger purpose-built residences.

The accommodation adverts for 2017/18 will be live from 22 November 2016. If you have any queries about this, please contact the Accommodation Office directly.
