We are nearing the end of term which means that Spring is now upon us and Easter is looming. Please see below to find out about the Easter Egg Hunt available to residents and what rooms are available over the Easter vacation for catered students:

Easter Egg HuntEaster Egg 2017
On Thursday 30 March there will be an Easter Egg Hunt (with a difference) taking place in the grounds of various residences (with the exception of Northfield and The Printworks). If you are living within Northfield or the Printworks, you are welcome to visit another residence to take part. Rather than searching for eggs, you will need to find a token. Upon finding your token, take it to a Residence Reception from 9:00am to collect a prize of chocolatey goodness (subject to availability). Please see the attached flyer to find out more about the hunt and what to do. All current residents can take part in this egg-citing event.

Easter vacation room availability for catered students
If you are currently living in catered halls and require a self-catered room to move into during the Easter vacation period, then the university has a limited number of rooms available in off campus residences. At this stage, it is likely to be a standard room that we are able to offer. To check our availability and to book a room between 1-30 April, please contact us or visit a member of the accommodation office at one of our drop-in sessions within the Forum (information below). Please note that you will need to sign for the room for the full vacation period.

Bake a CakePoint Exe students – bake a cake for Comic Relief
Throughout this week Point Exe residents are able to pick up a ‘cake pack’ baking mix in order to bake a cake for Comic Relief. The mix includes flour, eggs, sugar and butter) and is available from the reception on a first come, first served basis. Cakes can then be sold at the Point Exe bake sale on Friday 24 March. All proceeds will go towards Comic Relief.

New cash machine at Cornwall House
A new cash machine has been installed outside the Grove Diner at Cornwall House on the Streatham Campus. This was due to feedback from both staff and students across campus and free cash withdrawals can be made throughout the year.

Clocks go forward
With all of the daffodils popping up on campus, we can feel that Spring is in the air. This means that the clocks will be going forward this Sunday 26 March at 1:00am. It’s always a good idea to put your clocks forward before you go to bed the night before.
