Moving on – donate your items

Now is the time that you will realise how much you have accumulated whilst being at university and most of which you won’t want to take with you once you have vacated your accommodation. Please don’t throw these items away. The university is reducting its environmental impact by diverting your unwanted items from landfill to be reused. Last year the University of Exeter donated over 25 tonnes of items to the British Heart Foundation which had an estimated worth of £44,000.

Please fill the British Heart Foundation Charity bag with your donations and be careful when placing any breakable items. These bags are available from your Domestic Assistant/ Residence Reception. The bag can be deposited at one of the donation banks located at: Lafrowda , Birks Grange Village, Rowancroft and St Davids. There are internal donation points in Birks Grange Central, Holland Hall, Ross House, Point Exe, Lopes Hall receptions and James Owen Court laundries.

Find out what you can donate by viewing the Moving On flyer. Further information is available on our Moving Out webpages for self-catered and catered accommodation. Any donations will be gratefully received.Capture
