This week, we are looking at offers which are due to be sent out, accommodation in the city and what to do if you have now received an offer to study on a course at the University of Exeter.

Semester students
Offers and emails were sent yesterday to our one semester students who have applied for accommodation. Please check your emails now to see if your application was successful. Please note that we are currently reviewing all remaining applications received and we will be sending updates on the success of applications by early June.

As detailed on our website rooms for students studying for one semester during the academic year 2017/18 are limited and therefore, please note that not all applications may be successful. If your application is unsuccessful then we would encourage you to search for private accommodation in the city. Information and advice about this can be found on our private housing webpages.

International postgraduate students
All postgraduate students who fall within our Accommodation Guarantee and applied for accommodation during April 2017 please note that you will receive an offer of accommodation by no later than the end of May. Please note that not all offers will be sent out on the same day.

For postgraduate students who are applying or have applied during May, it is likely that offers will be sent to you by no later than the end of June. We will keep you updated on when these offers will be sent out.

Private accommodation in the city
It is not compulsory for students to live in University of Exeter accommodation during their first year. If you wish to look for private accommodation within the city then you absolutely can do. In February, we wrote a blog post which provided you with all of the information that you would need to begin your search.

How to activate an account and how to apply
If you have just received a firm offer on a University of Exeter course and are now thinking of applying for accommodation then we have created two videos which provide a step by step process on ‘how to activate an accommodation account’ and ‘how to submit an application for accommodation’. We strongly recommend that these are viewed prior to creating your application for accommodation. Please see the links below:
