There is just over a week to go until students in both 32 week catered and 40 week self-catered contracts are due to vacate. If this is you, please ensure that your keys are returned to your residence reception by no later than 10:00am on Saturday 17 June.

Moving out of your residence
Information about moving out can be found on our self-catered and catered webpages and it will provide information on how to leave your room or communal area prior to your departure. Don’t forget, you can donate items to the British Heart Foundation. Find out what you can donate by viewing the Moving On flyer.

Make your vote count
Unless you have been hiding under a rock for the past few months, you will know that today is the UK General election. In order to vote in a General Election you must:

  • be registered to vote
  • be 18 or over on the day of the election (‘polling day’)
  • be a British, Irish or qualifying Commonwealth citizen
  • be resident at an address in the UK (or a British citizen living abroad who has been registered to vote in the UK in the last 15 years)
  • not be legally excluded from voting

If you have registered to vote and you’re still unsure who to vote for then take a look at a useful tool which has been developed by some of our academics.

Drop-in session
A member of the Accommodation Office will be available throughout next week in order to answer your queries between 11:00am-1:00pm Monday to Friday. Please visit us in the Forum (via SID) and pop yourself in our queue. Please remember that there is no question too big or too small. Our last session will be on Friday 16 June but we can be contacted at any time throughout the summer by visiting the SID desk.

Next Thursday will be our last Accommodation Blog for current students until 21 September 2017.
