There are only twenty more days until our accommodation guarantee deadline, so do make sure that if you fall within this, that you submit your application. This week we are looking at Arrivals Weekend, the planned essential building works and also students who have received their IB results:
When can I arrive at my residence in September?
Arrivals Weekend for 2017/18 will take place between 15-17 September. All contracts in University of Exeter accommodation start on 17 September, however, it will vary as to what date you can arrive depending on your residence. If you are able to arrive on the 15 or 16 September then you will not be charged any additional nights.
We will be updating our website and notifying all students who have a confirmed offer of accommodation by the end of July with information on how you can book an arrival slot for September. If you have not yet received an offer of accommodation then this information will be sent to you once you have confirmed your booking. Next week’s blog post will provide assistance on how to do this.
Essential Building Works at Lafrowda and Birks Grange Village
Many of you will be aware that essential repairs and improvement works, are scheduled to take place on a number of blocks located at both our Lafrowda and Birks Grange Village residences during the 2017/18 academic year. There are two main categories of works planned:
- Updating the exterior of the building
- Refreshing shower room flooring

Have you received your International Baccalaureate results ?
If you have applied for accommodation and will be coming to the University of Exeter then you are likely to receive your accommodation offer by the end of next week. If you have not yet applied for accommodation but know that you are coming to the University of Exeter, then as long as you apply by 31 July you will fall under our Accommodation Guarantee. Please see our website for further information on how to apply.
