This week we are looking at information available for students who have already accepted their offer of accommodation, such as what to bring with you and what time you can move in. For those students who are not covered by our Accommodation Guarantee, we hope you will find the information below about our Studentpad pages helpful.

Moving in Checklist
We have updated our Arrivals and Freshers’ webpage which now provides a useful checklist of what you might like to bring with you including items to purchase with your flatmates after arrival, to share the cost.

To find out further details about your room, including the bed size, please visit our individual self-catered or catered residence pages and look under the ‘room details’ tab. Further information about your offer will be available to you within the online eInduction.

Booking an arrival time slot for Arrivals Weekend
Once you have accepted your offer of accommodation and received your ‘Contract Formation email’, you will later be invited by email to complete an online eInduction and to book your arrival slot.

The following videos are available and give a step by step guide on how to complete the online eInduction and how to book your arrival slot:

Time slots available for the Arrivals Weekend (Friday 15 – Sunday 17 September) are limited to 30 minutes and residence specific. Time slots may vary for arrivals from 18 September onwards.

Although accommodation contracts start from Sunday 17 September, we do allow arrivals over the weekend, with arrival time slots available in certain residences from the Friday 15 September.

Information about residence opening times and what to  expect over Arrivals Weekend is available on our Arrivals and Freshers’ 2017 pages.

eInduction downtime
Between Friday 18 – Tuesday 29 August the online eInduction will be unavailable. If you have already received an invitation to complete your online eInduction, we recommend you do so before Friday 18 August, however, you can still complete this from 29 August onwards. Please keep up to date via this blog or our Facebook page.

Looking for private accommodation in the city?
For students who are not covered by our Accommodation Guarantee, please refer to last week’s blog post for information. In the meantime, if you wish to consider private accommodation within in the city, please refer to the advice given within our private housing webpages.

We advertise various private accommodation options through the Studentpad search engine for groups or individuals. If you would like to find other students searching for flat mates, or place your own advert, you can also use the Studentpad message board.

You can search through the current advertisements by clicking ‘Search accommodation’, and can contact Landlords directly to see if their accommodation would be suitable for you.

We are adding new adverts to Studentpad regularly, so you may wish to register to receive alerts directly to your emails each time a new property becomes available.
