It’s nearly here and I’m sure you have all been counting down the days ever since your last exams ready for A-Level results day tomorrow. The Accommodation Office would like to extend their very best wishes to those of you awaiting results.
Accommodation offers
For those students who receive their results tomorrow and realise that you will be joining the University of Exeter in 2017/18, as long as you have submitted an application for accommodation prior to our Accommodation Guarantee deadline of 31 July 2017 we will begin sending offers out from Monday 21 August. We will update this blog with information on when these offers will be sent out. Please keep an eye on our Facebook page also. We strongly advise that you have access to your emails between Monday 21 August and the Arrivals Weekend as any notifications or offers from the Accommodation Office are sent online. You will also need to have an accommodation deposit ready in order to confirm your room booking.
Summer staff
Each summer we bring in a team of temporary staff to help us out. We have our call centre staff who will be answering your calls and questions and are available from 8:00am-8:00pm Thursday 17 and Friday 18 August and then will be available between 8:30am-6:00pm from Monday 21 August. We are contactable via the SID contact number on 0300 555 0444.
We also have our allocators who assist the Accommodation Team by helping to allocate approximately 4,000 students who have received their results to one of our rooms. We welcome both teams to the University of Exeter.
Residence Life Team Freshers’ Events
The Residence Life Team are organising a few events for the Arrivals Weekend and Freshers’ Week. Please see the information below about their welcome events:

- Curry Night (Sunday 17 September)
- ‘Have a slice with Residence Life‘ – Pizza and a chat with the Residence Life Team (Tuesday 19 and Thursday 21 September)
