Today we are looking in-depth at students who are now coming through Insurance or Clearing who had initially received a firm offer and applied within the Accommodation Guarantee. We are also looking at those students who may be going through a remark of their result.

I had a firm offer which was declined and am now coming through Insurance/Clearing – what do I do?
We have updated the information on our Accommodation Guarantee to update you on this situation. Please ensure that if you had a conditional firm offer which was declined but have now received an offer on a University of Exeter course through Insurance/Clearing that you notify the Accommodation Office of this change by 31 August.

What if I miss my original grade and receive an amended grade?
Following results day, if you do not meet the entry requirements needed for your course then your accommodation application will be declined. If you are going through a remark of your results and in order to amend your grade through your school/college, please contact our Admissions Team to make them aware and also notify the Accommodation Office. You will need to notify us by 31 August in order for us to keep your application active. From 1 September onwards, if we have not heard from you, we will reject your offer of accommodation.

Undergraduate students who applied before 31 July
As mentioned in yesterday’s blog post, if you have applied for accommodation within our Accommodation Guarantee (before 31 July) please note that we will begin sending offers out from Monday 21 August. These offers will be sent out in batches throughout the week until Friday 25 August and we recommend that you keep an eye on this blog and our Facebook page in order to be kept updated on which offers are being sent out and when.

Induction and arrival – closing for one week
Our online induction and arrivals check-in system will only be available until Saturday 19 August for those students who have been sent an offer of accommodation already. This system will be closed from Sunday 20 and we will notify you all via the blog and our Facebook page once this has re-opened.
