This week we are looking at amending an application once you have submitted it and also when you are likely to hear about whether your application has been successful:

Amending your accommodation application once it’s submitted
It is possible to amend an applicaiton once it has been submitted, you can also delete it if you change your mind. Take a look at the instructions below:

  • Log back in to your accommodation account
  • Navigate to the ‘My Application and Booking’ tab
  • Select ‘View’ against your application
  • To amend your application, please select ‘edit’ against the relevant section – you can make changes to the additional information here, but you may only re-order your residence preferences at this stage. Please ‘save’ the application once again. Your original ‘submit’ date will remain the same.
  • To change your residence preferences you will need to ‘delete’ your current application and create a new one with your revised preferences.  Scroll to the bottom of your current application summary page and select ‘delete’.  You may then create a new application and submit your application once again. Please note that if you do this then your original submission date will be lost*.

We recommend you review our accommodation guarantee and room allocation procedure for further details.

*As an undergraduate student you have until 31 July 2018 to be covered by our Accommodation Guarantee as applicaitons are not dealt with on a first come, first served basis. Postgraduate student applications are dealt with on date of application.

When will I receive an offer?
Please see our website which provides you with information on when you will receive an offer for accommodation. We have split it into different categories, depending on the type of student that you are. Don’t forget that you can use our ‘track your application‘ webpage in order to see what is happening with your application at the moment.

I am an undergraduate with Unconditional Firm offer, when will I hear?
Students who already have an ‘unconditional firm’ offer of a course and have applied before the end of May are likely to receive an offer in June. Students awaiting their International Baccalaureate results on 5 July are likely to receive an accommodation offer by the end of July once it is confirmed they will be coming to the Unviersity of Exeter for 2018/19.
