How was Freshers’ Week for you all? Hopefully it was good and you got to join up to many of the societies and clubs which are available across the University of Exeter. As you’re now officially ‘current students‘, find out below all of the information you need about living with us:

Deposit update
If you are living in university accommodation, you will have recently received an email advising you about changes to your accommodation deposit due to the introduction of a new finance system. This means that this year we will be unable to offset the £300.00 deposit against the second and third term instalments of your accommodation charges, as stated in the Terms and Conditions of Residence. Instead, we will offset the deposit fully against the first instalment of your accommodation charge.

Building works update (Birks Grange Village, Duryard and Lafrowda)
Essential repairs and improvement works will restart this week at Birks Grange Village, Lafrowda and Duryard. Weekly look ahead schedules (work summaries) can be found on the Exterior works and Shower room works webpages, in affected blocks and accommodation receptions. More information can be found online, but if you have any questions about the works please email residencefeedback@exeter.ac.uk or attend our student drop-in session this Thursday 27 September 12:30-13:00 in Peter Chalk 1.5. In the case of emergency, outside of normal office hours or over the weekend please contact Estate Patrol on 01392 72399.

Spreytonway development works (St Germans)
Contractors are on site carrying out the first phase of works for our new student residence, Spreytonway. Please visit the Spreytonway development works map online to see where the new development will be located and the Spreytonway project pages for more information. Weekly look ahead schedules (work summaries) can be found on notice boards in Merrivale and Chagford as well as Bridestowe House reception. If you have any questions about the works please email residencefeedback@exeter.ac.uk or attend our student drop-in session this Thursday 27 September 12:30-13:00 in Peter Chalk 1.5. In the case of emergency, outside of normal office hours or over the weekend please contact Estate Patrol on 01392 72399.

Don’t forget your student ID card!
If you are currently using a keypad to get into some our university residences, then from next week, you will need to use your student ID card. Please ensure that you have this with you at all times. We recommend keeping your ID card with you by attaching it to a lanyard. A number of the outlets on Campus e.g. The Guild Shop and the Market Place have these for sale.
