This week we are reminding you about an important event which takes place during Autumn and also what events we have coming up over the next few weeks. All events for students in residence are arranged by our Residence Life Team, so do check their pages to keep updated.
Fall backwards
We don’t mean it literally but the well-known phrase reminds us that in the autumn the ‘clocks fall back’. This is taking place this weekend at 2:00am on Sunday 28 October. Remember before you go to bed on Saturday night to set your clocks back an hour otherwise you’ll be an hour early everywhere. If you have a smart phone, they normally update automatically but you might want to double-check this during the morning.
Pumpkin carving
Halloween is upon us next week and with Halloween comes pumpkins! Are you feeling creative? Why not carve a spooky, our should we say a spook-tacular pumpkin (no limit on size) and bring your carved pumpkin to the Forum Piazza between 4:00pm-5:00pm on Wednesday 31 October for judging?
Entries will be judged on overall appearance, originality & creativity and technical execution. See below for some of last years entries:
There are plenty of prizes to be won but the one with the most spook-tacular pumpkin who achieves first place will win a £50.00 Amazon Gift Voucher. In order to enter, you will need to register online in advance.
