Are you still looking for accommodation next year? In today’s blog we will be looking at the accommodation available for returning students. We will also run through of some of the fantastic events that will be going on in the next month!
Accommodation in the city for returning students
The majority of students will find private accommodation in the city for their second and third years. It is a common misconception that all properties for the following academic year are taken before Christmas; this is not the case. If you haven’t managed to secure private accommodation yet, don’t panic! New properties are added by landlords and letting agents to Studentpad regularly. If you’re still looking for a property you may benefit from registering for property alerts to keep an eye out for new listings.
Your other option is purpose-built accommodation in the city. These tend to be similar to university all-inclusive accommodation offering shared flats or independent studios. You can find a list of the most popular private halls of residence on our website.
Returning to on-campus accommodation
Applications open on Monday 27 January for students returning for the 2020/21 academic year who require adapted accommodation or a particular location due to a disability, a long-term medical condition or sensory or physical impairment.
In order to be considered for returner’s accommodation you will need to speak to one of the below support services and we will need to have received support from them in order to proceed with your application:
