The end of term is fast approaching, in fact you have 16 days until you have completed your first term (hoorah!). It seems like only yesterday that we were preparing for Arrivals Weekend and Freshers’ Week ready to welcome you into your residence. Please see below for some useful information to prepare for the next few weeks:
Newsletter
Your residence will be sending an end of term newsletter to you all week commencing 30 November. Please ensure that you read this in order to see what services and facilities are available to you over the Christmas vacation including reception opening times.
Catered residences at Christmas
Those of you who are currently staying within our catered residences are required to vacate during the Christmas vacation between 12 December 2015 – 3 January 2016 and will need to return your keys when you depart. Please ensure that prior to your departure, you read our moving out pages for information about how to leave your room.
If any of you will not be returning home during this period then there are some self-catered residences available. These rooms will be available will be for the full period of 12 December 2015 ā 3 January 2016. Please come in to one of our drop-in sessions within The Forum (via SID) between 10:00am-4:00pm Monday to Friday to enquire about our availability.
Self-catered residences at Christmas
If you are currently living within our self-catered residences then you do not need vacate your residence during the Christmas vacation and are able to remain in your accommodation if you so wish. You thereforeĀ are not requiredĀ to return your key, however, please note that if you lose your key during the holiday period then there is a Ā£24.50 replacement charge.
Although your belongings can remain within your room, the Christmas vacation is always a useful time to have a thorough clean and tidy up by takingĀ certainĀ items home with you which you will not need for your second term.
