It is finally the last week of term and we have lots of information for you about the Christmas vacation whether you are in University accommodation or living in the private sector.

Moving out for Christmas – catered halls
Students living in catered accommodation need to vacate their rooms by 10:00am on Saturday 12 December 2015 for the Christmas vacation. The last meal served in catered halls will be breakfast on Saturday morning between 8:00am – 9:30am. The Christmas vacation – self-catered residences
Yesterday, a newsletter was sent to all students living in self-catered accommodation, please ensure that you read this for information about what is available to you over the Christmas period

If you are staying on campus between 23rd December and 2nd January we need to know, so that we can plan for essential maintenance and Estate Patrol know where you are in case of an emergency. If you are staying in your accommodation during this period please let us know by completing the following:

1. Login to Exehub and click on the ‘Ask SID’ box
2. Go to the Quick Enquiry Log
3. In enquiry category select ‘Accommodation: Christmas Vacation’
4. Answer the category questions
5. Click ‘Log now’

Christmas Day Meal
If you are remaining on campus over Christmas, you are invited to join our Christmas Day Lunch in Lopes Hall from 12.30pm – 4.30pm. Tickets are £17.50 per person and must be booked before 12 noon, 18 December. Vegetarian options are available and the lunch is open to students, their families and staff members. Presents, games, and other entertainments will be provided. Tickets are available to purchase online.

Christmas Vacation opening times
During the Christmas period the opening times within our Residence Receptions will differ from normal. Please see our website for information about when your residence is open over the vacation. Please note that Estate Patrol are available 24/7 should you require their assistance.

Make sure you check out the opening times for various student services across the Streatham and St Luke’s campus to see when they are available over Christmas.

Bin collections in the private sector
If you are living within the city centre and are unsure about when your bins will be collected over the Christmas vacation, please visit the Exeter City Council website or your iExeter App which will automatically provide you with a calendar of dates specific for your property.

Accommodation drop-in sessions
Drop-in sessions in The Forum are running between 10:00am-4:00pm until Friday 11 December and will be restarting in the New Year. From Monday 4 January 2016, a member of the Accommodation Office will be available between 11am-3pm Monday to Friday to help you with your accommodation queries.
