In last week’s blogpost we answered some questions which we had received from our first Offer Holder Visit Day and today I am answering some more of your frequently asked questions:

Can I move rooms after I arrive if I want to?
We are able to facilitate room move requests for students who wish to move to different rooms or residences or from self-catered to catered and vice versa. Students would need to advise the Accommodation Office that they would like to move rooms and to where. We would then check our availability and if a room wasn’t available for us to move them into immediately then we would keep them on a waiting list until a suitable room became available. Please see our room move pages for further details.

Can I apply for accommodation if  Exeter is my second choice?
We allocate accommodation after A-Level results are received and offers are firm with the University. If you have Exeter as your insurance or clearing choice, you can apply when your University offer is confirmed which is normally after A-Levels and as soon as you know that you are coming. We will try our very best to offer you accommodation, however, if we have no availability immediately, your details will be held on our waiting list and we will support you in your search for accommodation within the private sector.

What are the terms and conditions of the contract?
Before you make an application for accommodation, please see the terms and conditions which provides you with information about the different contracts.

Next week we will be answering more of your questions from the Offer Holder Visit Day which takes place tomorrow (Wednesday 2 March).
