There are only two more weeks (and one day) left before the Easter vacation. This week we are providing information for our students living within catered residences who may require storage for their belongings over this period or self-catered vacation accommodation. We are also looking at the availability of rooms on campus for any students who are not currently living in university accommodation and seeing how halls are doing within the Student Switch Off competition:
Room availability
We have a number of vacancies within both our self-catered and catered accommodation at present and if you require a room and are not currently living withinin University accommodation then please contact us to check our availability. We are currently able to offer the following:
- A catered room for a minimum contract length of one week.
- A self-catered room for a minimum contract lenth of one month.

Easter vacation
Students living in catered accommodation need to vacate their rooms by 10:00am on Saturday 26 March for the Easter vacation and return on Sunday 24 April. If you require self-catered accommodation for the vacation period then please come and see a member of the Accommodation Team to discuss availability. Next week, we are available between 11:00am-3:00pm Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in the Forum (via SID). Alternatively, we can be contacted by telephong on 0300 555 0444 and by asking for the ‘Accommodation Office’.
Storage options for Easter
In some of our catered residences, as well as vacating their accommodation, students may also be required to take their belongings with them. Please check if your residence is affected by contacting your Residence Reception.
Unfortunately, we are currently unable to provide storage facilities during these periods, however, there are a number of local companies who are able to offer storage solutions. Please see their details below:

Is your hall winning the Student Switch Off competition?
Overall, Exeter students have reduced energy use by 3% which has saved 32 tonnes of CO2. These savings are equivalent to making 352 return flights from London to Manchester or brewing 1.8 million cups of tea!
The results of the Student Switch Off energy saving competition so far this year are in and Widecombe at St German’s are currently in the lead! The block that comes top at the end of the year wins a big Ben & Jerry’s party! Keep up your energy saving efforts and if you’re not at the top right now, don’t worry – it’s quite close.
