Many of you have probably been counting down the days and I am sure you are well aware that tomorrow is A Level results day. The Accommodation Office would like to extend their very best wishes to those of you awaiting results.
Accommodation offers
For those students who receive their results tomorrow and realise that you will be joining the University of Exeter in 2016/17, as long as you have submitted an application for accommodation prior to our Accommodation Guarantee deadline of 31 July 2016 we will begin sending offers out from Monday 22 August. We will update this blog with information on when those will be sent out. We strongly advise that you have access to your emails between Monday 22 August and the Arrivals Weekend as any notifications or offers from the Accommodation Office are sent online. You will also need to have a £300.00 accommodation deposit ready in order to confirm your room booking.
Summer staff
Each summer we bring in a team of temporary staff to help us out. We have our call centre staff who will be answering your calls and questions and are available from 8:00am-8:00pm Thursday 18 and Friday 19 August and then will be available between 8:30am-6:00pm from Monday 22 August. We are contactable via the SID contact number on 0300 555 0444.
We also have our allocators who assist the Accommodation Team by helping to allocate approximately 4,000 students who have received their results to one of our rooms. We welcome both teams to the University of Exeter.
Freshers’ Events
The Residence Life Team are organising a ‘Welcome BBQ’ and a ‘Curry Night’ which will take place over Arrivals Weekend. Information about these events can be viewed below:
