In last week’s blog we were able to update our undergraduate students with an unconditional firm offer and our TESOL summer students as to when your offers would be sent out. Please refer to last week’s blog post for further information. We also noted when our postgraduate students would receive an offer, however, this week there is a further update, so please see below:
International Postgraduates
All International postgraduate students who fall within our Accommodation Guarantee and applied for accommodation by Friday 9 June 2017 will have now received an offer of accommodation. Please remember that postgraduate student applications are dealt with on a first come, first served basis and we may not have one of your preferences available at the time of sending you an offer.
Please note that options of accommodation are now limited as places are being filled up. We currently have availability still within:
- Birks Grange Village studios (40 and 51 weeks)
- Lafrowda standard (40 weeks)
- Rowancroft House (42 weeks)
- Rowancroft Studios (42 weeks)
Home/EU Postgraduate students
For any Home/EU students who have submitted an application for accommodation, you will have been advised by email that your details are currently being held on our waiting list. We strongly recommend that Home/EU Postgraduate students consider looking for private housing within the city in order to guarantee themselves with accommodation for 2017/18 as we are unlikely to be able to confirm whether we have rooms available until after the 31 July.
Undergraduate students with an Unconditional Firm offer
Students with an unconditional firm offer for a course at the University of Exeter who applied for accommodation and held an unconditional academic offer by Friday 9 June 2017 will receive an offer of accommodation by the end of next week.
Full Year Erasmus or International Exchange
Students studying a Full Year Erasmus course who have submitted an application for accommodation by Friday 9 June 2017, an offer will be sent to you by the end of next week.
Insurance students
If you have the University of Exeter as an insurance offer then you are unable to submit an application for accommodation until you have a firm offer on a course. This is likely to be after A-Level results in August which means that you are not included within our Accommodation Guarantee. We recommend that as soon as you know that you’re coming to the University of Exeter and have a firm offer, to submit an application as soon as possible and we will keep in touch with you throughout August to update you on our availability.
