This week we are providing you with information about moving out of your accommodaotion over the Christmas vacation and what you need to prepare:
Moving out of catered halls for the vacation
Students living within catered halls are required to vacate over the Christmas Vacation. Keys need to be returned to your residence reception on or before Saturday 16 December by 10:00am. You will be able to collect them again from Sunday 7 January from 9:00am. The last meal in catered halls will be breakfast served on Saturday 16 December between 8.00am-9:30am.
During this period you are not able to remain in your room, however, your belongings can stay. If you require self-catered accommodation during this period then the Accommodation Office have some residences (both on and off campus) available to rent for a minimum contract length of three weeks. In order to book one of these rooms, please contact us for further information.

Moving out of self-catered
Students living in self-catered accommodation are not required to vacate their accommodation over the 
vacation period. If you are remaining in your accommodation over this periood then please let us know, so that we can plan for essential repair work and so that Estate Patrol know where you are in case of an emergency. To let us know, please:
- Login to iExeter (via the desktop or app) and click on the ‘Access SID’ button or alternatively login to SID Online
- Click on ‘ask a question’ then click the ‘Log enquiry’ button
- In enquiry category select ‘Christmas vacation’
- Answer the category questions
- Click the ‘Send’ button
If you want to celebrate Christmas Day on campus with a traditional two-course lunch and a gift for all attending take a look at the event and book your place (£15.00 adults and £5.00 for children aged 8 and under) through the Online Store by 12:00pm on Friday 15 December.
Residence Reception opening times
The times that your reception is going to be available over the Christmas period is now live and updated on our website. Choose the tab for your residence to be redirected to that specific page. Please note that our nominated residences are under the ‘other’ tab.
