Are you looking for accommodation for next year? This week we are providing information on accommodation availability  for our returning students, where to look and when to apply. Also if you are living in Lafrowda or Birks Grange Village in one of our refurbished blocks and fancy letting prospective students know what this has been like, please see below:

Semester two students
Welcome to our second semester students who arrived with us at the weekend. We hope you have an excellent stay at the University of Exeter. Take a look at our ‘International Students‘ webpage for information on what services and facilities are available to you whilst you study at the University of Exeter.

If you have moved into your room and wish to be considered for a room move* then please come and visit a member of the Accommodation Office at our drop-in sessions (shown below) from Monday 29 January when we will be able to look at availability. The first two weeks for any student arriving at the University of Exeter is used as a settling in period, so go and get to know your flatmates or see if they fancy attending one of the Residence Life Team events taking place – including quiz nights and trips.

*Please note that if a room move is successful there is a £50.00 movement charge.

Refurbishment works at Lafrowda and Birks Grange Village
For those of you living within an affected block at either Birks Grange or Lafrowda, we want to hear from you! We are planning on having a couple of quotes and/or guest blogs from some of our current students advising prospective students about the works and if it has impacted on you at all, in any way. If you want to get in touch or would be interested in taking part, please email: sid@exeter.ac.uk and mark your email for ‘Catherine – Accommodation Office’.

As a reminder the next drop-in session will be held on Thursday 25 January between 12:30 – 1pm in The Forum Seminar Room 1. More information is available on our ‘Exterior Works‘ webpage.

Returning students accommodation
There are still a number of properties available on Studentpad or within larger purpose-built accommodation in the city centre. Take a look at our website under ‘private accommodation options’ to see a list of these residences. Don’t forget if you have a contract then the Students’ Guild Advice Unit can check this for free for you.

If you wish to live on campus then for the 2018/19 academic year we are able to support individuals who, due to a disability, a long-term medical condition or sensory or physical impairment require adapted accommodation or a particular location in line with the Equality Act 2010. Applications for supported returners accommodation will open on Monday 29 January 2018. Prices will be updated on our website during week commencing 22 January – so please check this information prior to applying.

In order to be considered for returners accommodation you will need to speak to one of the below support services and we will need to have received support from them in order to proceed with your application:

Accommodation drop-in sessions
