At our Offer Holder Visit Days recently, we have received a number of queries from students who will be studying at both our Streatham and St Luke’s campuses, or will be studying at St Lukes but will be participating in sports on the Streatham Campus, and are unsure which preferences to put on their accommodation application. Take a look below to see what options you have:
Which residences are close to both St Lukes and Streatham Campuses?
The answer to this question mostly comes down to personal preference and whether you prefer catered or self-catered accommodation. Please note however that all our catered accommodation is located on the Streatham Campus and has set meal times. We do however have 70% of our self-catered accommodation located on the Streatham Campus and 30% located off campus e.g. near to St Lukes, in the city centre or near our St Davids train station.
- Closest to St Lukes – Our Rowancroft residences including Rowancroft (en-suite), Rowancroft Court (standard) and Rowancroft Mews (standard) are only a five minute walk to St Luke’s. Nancherrow is located right next to St Lukes or approximately 30 minutes’ walk to the Streatham Campus. St Lukes Campus does have its own sports facilities and swimming pool. Find out more on their website. There is a free shuttle bus which runs between Rowancroft and Streatham departing at 7:45am/8:30am/9:15am weekdays in term time and returns from Streatham to Rowancroft at 5.45pm and 6.45pm. Please note that times may vary for the 2018/19 academic year.
- Equal distance – Both James Owen Court and the Printworks (Host) are located in the city centre and are only twenty five minutes walk to Streatham and twenty minutes’ walk to St Luke’s. These are self-catered residences providing en-suite accommodation. Northernhay House (Unite) is approximately twenty minutes walk to Streatham and twenty five minutes walk to St Lukes. It is situated in the city centre approximately one minute walk from the High Street. This is a self-catered residence providing standard rooms whereby you are sharing the kitchen/bathroom facilities with other students.

Other options available
Remember you are not required to live in university accommodation for your first year and can look for private accommodation in the city if you so wish. There are a number of larger providers located in the city centre and landlords/letting agents with rooms, houses/flats available also. Take a look at our website for advice and information.
Next week we will be providing you with information about the services and facilities available at both campuses.
