This week, we are looking at offers which have been sent out and how you can check where your block is located, accommodation in the city, and what to do if you have now received an offer to study on a course at the University of Exeter.

Semester students
Offers and emails have been sent to our One Semester students who have applied for accommodation. Please check your emails now to see if your application was successful as you will need to accept your offer within a certain time period. Please note that rooms for students studying for one semester during the academic year 2018/19 are limited and therefore not all applications may be successful. All students that we are unable to house will automatically be placed on our waiting list and you will be notified if there is availability. We may not know if there is any availability until September so we recommend that if your application is unsuccessful that you search for private accommodation in the city. Information and advice about this can be found on our private housing webpages.

International postgraduate students
We are up to date with our International Postgraduate applications and our postgraduate students who fall within our Accommodation Guarantee are being sent offers within a week of their application being received. Please note that not all offers will be sent out on the same day. Take a look at our ‘How to accept an offer of accommodation‘ step-by-step video for guided information.

If you wish to contact us about your application at any time, please email: sid@exeter.ac.uk and put in the subject ‘Accommodation Application’ so it will be redirected to us. If possible, please insert your nine digit student ID number – usually starting with a 67 or 68 – so we can answer your query more quickly.

Maps of the campus
Have you seen that we have added lots of new maps to our website? Visit the maps link and within the drop down menu, you will be able to see different blocks associated to an area on the Streatham Campus including our popular ‘walking distance’ map.

Private accommodation in the city
If you don’t fancy living in halls of residence, please remember that it is not compulsory for students to live in University of Exeter accommodation during their first year. If you wish to look for private accommodation within the city then you absolutely can do. Take a look at our website to see what’s available.

How to activate an account and how to apply
If you have just received a firm offer on a University of Exeter course and are now thinking of applying for accommodation then we have created two videos which provide a step by step process on ‘how to activate an accommodation account’ and ‘how to submit an application for accommodation’. We strongly recommend that these are viewed prior to creating your application for accommodation. Please see the links below:
