It’s that time of year where the scent of mulled wine and mince pies are filling the air which means that Christmas is oh so near. With this in mind, we want to take this opportunity to remind you of some important dates:

Living in catered halls? You need to vacate your room by 10:00am on Saturday 14 December 2013 and hand in your key to your Residence Reception or Father Christmas might put you on the naughty list. If you are in self catered halls, your contract covers the whole vacation period, so you are welcome to stay on site for the duration. Check your university emails for more information!

Ho-ho-ho-halt your worrying (see what I did there?) about finding your accommodation for 2014/15 over Christmas because it’s still very early. We have however, had a number of you worried about who to live with, so If you are concerned then just pop a message on the Noticeboard or the Studentpad Message Board and explain how utterly marvellous you are. It won’t be long until you’re snapped up. The one thing we will ask of you is to make sure you set yourselves a reminder to come along to the Housing Fair on 14 January 2014.

For those of you who are staying on campus or around Exeter over Christmas 2013 we have some fun festive events to keep you all entertained. ’12 Days of Christmas’ is run by the Students’ Guild and will keep your social calendar crammed until 12 December 2013. If you are at a loose end for Christmas Day itself and you fear that your attempt at a Christmas dinner may end up in the style of Mr Bean with a turkey stuck on your head then STOP panicking…there is a Christmas Day Lunch. You have until 19 December to book your tickets.
