SAND is a collaboration of scientists at the University of Exeter conducting research into neurodevelopmental disorders.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>

Conduct scientific research<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We conduct research on ADHD across health, education and social care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our research is designed to understand the needs of young people with ADHD, and to provide evidence for health and education services about how they can better support those with ADHD and other neurodevelopmental difficulties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As such, SAND brings together academics, clinicians, people with lived experience of ADHD and other neurodevelopmental differences, and the people who support them.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Provide information<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

There is a lot of scientific research on neurodevelopmental differences happening in the University of Exeter. SAND provides a hub for all of these research projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We aim to provide the public, those in education and health services, and research funders with information related to our ADHD research at Exeter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also link to some ADHD resources that may be helpful and have information on how to get involved.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Initiative Leads<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

SAND is based within the Children and Young People’s Mental Health (ChYMe<\/a>) research collaboration. SAND links up expertise across the University of Exeter and beyond. The initiative is led by Dr Anna Price, Dr Tamsin Newlove-Delgado and Dr Abby Russell, who specialise in a variety of research methods including service mapping, developing new support strategies, and epidemiology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
