{"id":1909,"date":"2025-11-07T12:43:27","date_gmt":"2025-11-07T12:43:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.exeter.ac.uk\/alumni-news\/?p=1909"},"modified":"2025-11-07T12:43:28","modified_gmt":"2025-11-07T12:43:28","slug":"introducing-the-exeter-alumni-wechat-mini-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.exeter.ac.uk\/alumni-news\/2025\/11\/07\/introducing-the-exeter-alumni-wechat-mini-program\/","title":{"rendered":"Introducing the Exeter Alumni WeChat Mini Program\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The University of Exeter is pleased to announce the launch of the Exeter Alumni WeChat Mini Program &#8211; a new digital hub designed to make it easier for our alumni&nbsp;in China and around the world&nbsp;to stay connected, informed, and engaged.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Developed by the Exeter China Alumni Association (ECAA) in collaboration with the University\u2019s Global Advancement team, the Mini Program offers&nbsp;a simple way&nbsp;for Exeter alumni and students to interact within the familiar WeChat environment.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Created by alumni, for alumni<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Recognising WeChat\u2019s importance in daily life in China, the ECAA designed this bespoke Mini Program to bring the Exeter community together online. It offers an integrated platform where users can:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"has-regular-font-size\">\n<li>Keep up with news&nbsp;from the University of Exeter&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"has-regular-font-size\">\n<li>Discover and register for&nbsp;alumni&nbsp;and student&nbsp;events&nbsp;in China and the UK&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"has-regular-font-size\">\n<li>Access mentoring and career opportunities&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"has-regular-font-size\">\n<li>Connect with local networks and volunteer initiatives&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"has-regular-font-size\">\n<li>Enjoy exclusive alumni benefits&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"has-regular-font-size\">\n<li>Record volunteer hours and track participation&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"has-regular-font-size\">\n<li>Build professional and personal connections across the Exeter network&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Mini Program\u00a0represents\u00a0a major step in strengthening lifelong relationships between Exeter and its graduates in China and beyond.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking about the program, Alannah Williams, International Alumni Officer at the University of Exeter, shared, <em>\u201cIt\u2019s\u00a0really exciting to see this platform come to life, we deeply value our alumni community in China and their dedication to supporting each other and the University.
