Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your research and\/or career to this point?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Benjamin Atta is a Health data scientist with a background in Mathematics, and Statistics. Prior to joining the University of Exeter in 2023, Benjamin worked as a research fellow at the Faculty of Medicine, Prince of Songkla University, where his research mainly focused on longitudinal assessment of environmental exposure and environmental epidemiology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Benjamin has a PhD in Health Research Methodology, with high-level expertise in data management and analysis, applied statistics and biomedical research. Currently, Benjamin works as a Research Fellow in Statistics and Data Science at the University of Exeter Medical School Primary Care Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are you aiming to do through your fellowship\/new post, or what is your current research focus?<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Benjamin’s current research is in the field of cardio-metabolic diseases and cardio-oncology. The primary focus is to understand the interaction between heart failure and frailty and how the interactions affect quality of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tell us something about yourself that may be less well-known.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In my free time, I love to read novels, particularly books on geopolitics. I also love country music and Afro-pop. You might also find me hiking and taking long walks.<\/p>\n\n\n
