You may have seen areas on our campuses where the grass has been left uncut. The Grounds team haven’t all taken holiday at the same time(!) – these areas are here by design.
By allowing grass and natural vegetation to grow here we are:
- providing habitat for insects and wildlife
- encouraging native wildflowers
- reducing CO2 emissions by not using machinery
- promoting sustainable landscapes
- improving biodiversity
We are proud to protect and enhance biodiversity on our beautiful and diverse grounds.
