You may have seen areas on our campuses where the grass has been left uncut. The Grounds team haven’t all taken holiday at the same time(!) – these areas are here by design.

By allowing grass and natural vegetation to grow here we are:

  • providing habitat for insects and wildlife
  • encouraging native wildflowers
  • reducing CO2 emissions by not using machinery
  • promoting sustainable landscapes
  • improving biodiversity

We are proud to protect and enhance biodiversity on our beautiful and diverse grounds.
